Tricia Croyle

Tricia Croyle is writing The Joy Series. She self-published her first book, From Heartache to Joy: One Woman’s Journey Home, in January 2018.

“In 2014 I had suffered a great deal of loss in a short period of time. I lost my mom, two horses, three dogs, and three cats. And the rest of my family before that — John’s mom, my brother, and my dad. I had a lot of suppressed grief. I went about my life thinking that I was happy. After all, I was generally a happy person. But somehow my spark was gone, and I didn’t even know it.

“I attended a conference where the people called me Eeyore [after the sad donkey in A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh]. I spent a year trying to rekindle my sparkle. Sadness was leaking out of me like a faucet that just wouldn’t stop dripping. I discovered that it was necessary to feel the grief and sadness to get to the other side, which is Joy.

“Then I had a pivotal Joy experience.”

From Heartache to Joy provides “the tools to live an authentic life without the distractions of living the life that someone else has defined.” It’s been described as insightful, enlightening, brilliant, and nurturing by its readers.

Beyond Joy book cover

I began working with Tricia on her second book in The Joy Series: Beyond Joy. Like spokes on a wheel, each of this book’s twelve chapters explores an aspect of God that affords a path inward to self-discovery, to the center of our being.

Since then, I’ve edited and typeset Tricia’s workbook for From Heartache to Joy.

I have worked with Nina on two different books. She is a Joy to work with. So detail oriented. Always trying to get it as perfect as possible. She has the ability to understand the intention of my content and she assists in clarifying that content so that the reader can understand it.

She is both a great structural editor and a great copy editor. I will use her services again.

Tricia’s workbook will be available shortly. Heartache to Joy: The Companion Playbook offers more exercises than the original book and these exercises are further expanded. There is space to journal without the story, examples, science, and visions of the original book, From Heartache to Joy. The workbook is full of puzzles, quizzes, exercises, and techniques to access Joy.
