A Call for Contributors by a Guest Blogger

What follows is a request from one of the authors whose books I’ve edited. She has a special request for you.

My name is Andrea Courey. I’m a writer. Nine months ago, my 28-year-old daughter, Chloe Ann, passed away after a two-year battle with cancer.

Writing and speaking about my lovely Chloe is healing and cathartic for me.

If you have lost a child and would like to share your story in an anthology I am compiling, I would be honored to listen. My deepest wish is that the process be healing for you and for other mothers who will look for comfort in their time of loss.

All the proceeds from this anthology, every penny, will be donated read more

Theresa May’s Numerology

Through a series of unprecedented events, Theresa May, Conservative and Unionist Party Member of Parliament in Great Britain, blazed her way to #10 Downing Street as GB’s second female Prime Minister on Wednesday July 13.

As a feminist, a numerologist, and a student of Tania Gabrielle’s Numerology Academy, I would like to comment on some interesting details about GB’s new Prime Minister through the eyes of numerology.

The number 13 (the day Mrs. May became PM) in numerology does read more

Preparing for 2016 through the Power of Questions

The week between Christmas Day on December 25th of one year and New Year’s Day on January 1st of the next is a week of great opportunities to reflect back and to plan forward, to review and to set goals.

I am always open to thinking about the importance of the seven major chakras of the body and to renew how I see them. This month, I have just finished reading Alberto Villoldo’s The Four Insights: Wisdom, Power, and Grace of the Earthkeepers. How did I not find this book earlier? read more

What’s In a Name?

From time to time, I take a training in one or other of my areas of interest—spiritual alignment, growth through gratitude, empowering writing, and esoteric wisdom.

My latest training is from Tania Gabrielle and is the foundation of the reading she gives in answer to the question “Is Your Name Fortunate?” Tania explains that our current name is our spiritual calling card; “it defines how easy or how difficult read more

Remembrance Day – November 11, 2014 is a Triple 11 Day

First, let us remember the fallen, wherever, whenever, however they fell. I’m reminded of some of the last lines in Rebel Women, my most recent play. They were written by Mrs. Pankhurst in 1914, one hundred years ago:

The militancy of men through all the centuries has drenched the world with blood and, for these deeds of horror and destruction, men have been rewarded with monuments, with great songs, and epics. The militancy of women has harmed no human life save the lives of those who fought the battle of righteousness. Time alone will reveal what reward will be allotted to the women.

And life goes on. As this post says, today – November 11, 2014 – is a Triple 11 Day. Now, I’m beginning to sound like the astro-numerologist that I follow, Tania Gabrielle, because that’s the sort of numerological event that she points out, that November 11, 2014 is a Triple 11 Day. As an 11 day and an 11 month, November 11, 2014 also adds up to 11 (1+1+1+1+2+0+1+4=11). Eleven offers us choices, whether to go through what may be difficult but directly ahead, or to walk around and avoid the challenge. Be prepared to walk through the pillars of choice today and make the right choices. Let us make the choice of peace today in all that we do.

Up until now, I had understood that Gematria is the eons-old Jewish method of assigning a numerical value to a Jewish letter, and thereby assigning a numerical value to words spelled with Jewish letters. In reading The Goddess in the Gospels: Reclaiming the Sacred Feminine by Margaret Starbird, I find out that these number codes were “hidden in the Greek texts of canonical Scripture” (page 9) and so presumably in Greek rather than Jewish letters. Wikipedia offers Gematria relationship tables for finding these values from Jewish letters, for numbers 1 to 9, 10 to 90, and 100 to 900, i.e. for 27 letters. Starbird on the other hand offers values for numbers 1 to 9 leaving out the number 6, numbers 10 to 80, and 100 to 800, i.e. for 24 letters of the Greek alphabet. Which system is right? Can both be right? Aah! I find that the system Starbird uses of giving values to Greek letters is also called Isopsephy, according to Wikipedia. No, the Wikipedia system assigns transliteration values to 27 letters again. This is intriguing.
