The rest of Canada often refers to British Columbia as the home of the fruits and nuts, the laid-back West Coasters. So, it came as no surprise this week when a new store moved into the ‘hood, here in Vancouver’s West End – Ayoub’s Dried Fruits & Nuts store. I dropped to see what was cooking on Friday – nuts tumbling in the drying oven – and what was on offer – every kind of nut and seed and dried fruit. A great selection.

I bought 400 grams of mixed fruits and nuts and am enjoying sampling them. Mmhmm!
