Ho’oponopono is the forgiveness prayer used by Hawaiian Kahunas. It goes like this:

Please forgive me.
I forgive you.
I’m sorry.
I love you.
Thank you.

Simple and powerful.

Here’s a blogpost by someone about “How Dr. Hew Len healed a ward of mentally ill criminals with Ho’oponopono” and a Wikipedia entry on it. I now incorporate saying Ho’oponopono 12 times for someone – myself or others – into my morning ritual and find it very soothing.
